At last Katie Couric says something of substance. And just maybe this WILL mean something to those of us who have not watched her news program because there was not much to the reports. Only Katie and one of the most respected, jounalist in news Tom Brokaw have at least spoken about the obvious sexism Senator CLinton faced and just eaxctly like Katie Couric said, if Obama had had even once had the equivalent of racism it WOULD have been FRONT PAGE NEWS and on every media outlet...Senator Clinton was treated worse than any candidate has ever been...she was made fun of and called names..had rediculous articles made for souvnirs...why the media hates this brilliant woman so intently no one can understand and it has only made her almost 18,000,000 supporters more determined than ever to do everything in their power to have her campaign and her vendicated and vote for McCain and to HELL with the DNC and OBAMA and CNN, MSNBC, Hannity & COMBS,Rush Limbaugh, Laura Ingraham who was dispicable with her friend Dennis Miller whom we have yet to wonder why he has any say at all
he's not even a good comic...and we cannot stand him, but,Laura Ingraham, should be fired..she is absolutely nothing short of a National Inquirer fee lance writer, if even that. As a woman how she can degrade Senator Clinton the way she did..is disgusting. We are all boycotting those channels and pretend news shows who are little more than a tv version of slime talk shows...they might as well have Jerry Springer doing the news..it's not news, it's goossip and inuendos and just plain lies to get ratings..how it was worth it, maybe now we will watch a little Katie and maybe Katie should try to be a journalist more often like Tom Brokaw than following the talk show jerks....Senator Clinton is a brilliant woman who has done more than any other woman has done ever...no one bothers to read her accomplishments, and praise that, they hate her without reason and judge her by her husbands deeds..and that is really, really sexist..walking behind your husband went out many, many years ago...maybe Katie should do a story on the real Hillary Clinton and what a strong woman she is...

Look in the mirror Ms. Couric! You ARE one of the men and women who let pundits get away w/ unbridled sexism for over a year! NOW you take the holier than thou stand? Gimme a break! YOU are part of the problem, Miss Frigedaire!

Wow, Susan should have a seat on "The View" ...... those women are an embarrassment to the rest of us women who choice to protect the female image. I would bet your a "boy" in disguise...... calling other women names and making rude insults to a women's personal character.... is very manly like. The "View" continued to make nasty and rude comments about Hillary throughout her entire campaign. They even had the nerve to make fun of Chelsea's phone calls on behalf of her mom.
I'm not saying, they should have supported her because she's a woman..... but don't intentionally try to destroy her, because you are smitten and bent over some guy. The only person on that show who remained professional and fair was Elizabeth and she's a Republican ...... go figure.

Right on lauren m...You may have hit it right on the nose, or then again it could be a male Obama supporter. Either way, susan b is one of the reasons why although we constitute the majority of the population, we've never held the Presidency or the VP yet. WE (meaning women) are OUR worst enemies. Hillary is the most knowledgeable qualified candidate. Plain and simple she lost because she IS a woman. The MEDIA (men) the DNC (African-Americans and Men) "SELECTED" Obama to be the Nominee. Another large factor that contributed to Obama's win was the endorsements of the "MONEY PEOPLE." The Young Jewish Business Community who wants to once again call the shots, and let's not forget the Hollywood Elite. The Hollywood Elite, who come out once a year to make a commercial, or a statement, or donate to the hungry on Thansgiving; just to clear their conscience because they make millions of dollars for pretending to be someone else for a few minutes of their lives. The Media proclaimed a momentum for Obama, and everyone who wanted a moment in the News for one reason or another went and jumped in. For African-Americans it was MLK's Birthday that determined who they would vote for. It certainly wasn't the experience of their candidate, or his knowledge in office, or better yet his judgement regarding his friends. There is NO question that a "GLASS CEILING" is alive and well in our country. The question is: "What are we going to do about it?" I say to Katie Couric: "Better late than never!" About time a woman realizes that WE as women were BFed. WE were set back at least 100 years, and equal pay is only a dream. Shame on us!

Leek, you are absolutely right... women are their own worst enemies. That's so hard for me to understand, especially with the path that so many women have been forced to take. For once, we not only had an opportunity to support a person soooo much more qualified, but she also happen to be a woman. I am sad to say, most of my professional and educated friends support Obama ...... the funny thing is, they know nothing about him. I have an open mind, I ask them to share with me ...... help me to understand what it is that I am missing or not seeing. Not one person I know can tell me anything positive or about any of his achievements that would get me fired up to support him. Forget about all the know issues and the possible rumors that are horribly scary....WHAT ABOUT HIS ACCOMPLISHMENTS?
None of this makes any sense to me.

This is funny, I made dinner for a black friend of ours and during dinner he saw my Hillary pin (I wore everyday :-) and he said "oh no, your not voting for her". That started the conversation, so why are you voting for Obama I asked, he said "we need to get our boy in there" and I asked him "share with me his achievements" ...... he said "cuz he's black!". Thank God, I love my friends ....... regardless
