URGENT ACTION ~ Make a Difference in less than one minute

-- Make a Difference in less than one minute

Dear Hillary Family,

If you do one thing (ok two things) today and/or tomorrow, we URGE everyone to call in a request to Hillary's D.C office and make a simple request.

Why you ask? Well simply because we want her to know directly from us that are standing for her to get on the ballot. And we want this be a strong, consistent message.

Here is the message:

"We want our delegates to have the opportunity to vote for Hillary as "nominee" at the convention. Our votes aren't for negotiation and our pledged delegates aren't for negotiation. We need an open and fair convention, please let Senator Clinton know that we still support her! Thank you!"

This is not the time to throw in the towel in the 11th hour or in the 9th inning. It is we who are up to bat, and the bases are loaded...What would Babe Ruth do?

Call Senator Clinton Today Ask to Leave a Message in Message box!

Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton
Phone: (703)469-2008

AND AND AND AND AND

THIS IS IMPORTANT... (we want to get 1,000,000 emails ASAP)

Email the same message to

HAROLD ICKES
re: Please let Hillary know...
to: hgardner@ickesenright.com (yes we know this is heather's address)

DO IT NOW !!!

and PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DON'T RE-DIRECT PEOPLE. Our way of us being measured on their end is by sending emails to one email address.

Here is my response to yesterdays letter from Don Fowler. (the caps was my response inserted in red on their letters but not on this post so just the capitalize additions are mine and the lower case was there letter. )

Dear Democratic Friends:
2008 is a Democratic year-at all levels in all the states. The opportunity is ours. We just have to seize it.

We experienced an exciting, intense, sometimes difficult, campaign to nominate our presidential candidate. Now it's over.IT IS NOT OVER FOR MANY PEOPLE WHO BELIEVE THAT OUR VOTE HAS BEEN IGNORED. Barack Obama won. OBAMA DID NOT WIN THE PLEDGE DELEGATES, DID NOT WIN THE POPULAR VOTE. WHEN SENATOR OBAMA HAD 175 DELEGATES WHEN EVERYONE SAID HILLARY SHOULD GET OUT, 145 OF THOSE 175 DELEGATES 85% CAME FROM 3% OF THE POPULATION IN CAUCUS ROOMS. NOT FROM THE PEOPLES CHOICE. HOW CAN YOU SAY HE WON ANYTHING???? 4 OF HIS DELEGATES WERE STOLEN FROM HILLARY IN MICHIGAN AND HANDED OVER TO HIM. MY GOODNESS PEOPLE, DO YOU THINK WE ALL ARE BLIND AND STUPID?.

I supported Hillary Clinton and am proud and pleased that I did. But she lost. Barack Obama won. It's over. IT DOESN'T HAVE TO BE OVER BECAUSE A FEW PEOPLE WANT IT TO BE.

It is time for all Democrats, supporters of Senator Clinton and all other contenders for the nomination, to stand with him to secure his election and the election of Democrats at all levels of competition. WHY? HE IS NOT THE STRONGER CANDIDATE, LACKS PRESIDENTIAL QUALITIES AND EXPERIENCE and didn't receive the popular vote now did he?.

I must confess a bit of fatigue and irritation with people who continue to carp, complain, and criticize the results of the primary and lay down conditions for their support. WE 18 MILLION VOTERS CONFESS A BIT OF FATIGUE AND IRRITATION WITH THE WAY THE DNC SELECTED OUR NOMINEE AND WILL KEEP ON COMPLAINING TILL THE DNC CHANGES THEIR WAYS. The Los Angeles Lakers didn't establish conditions to recognize the Boston Celtics as NBA Champions; Roger Federer did not demand concessions before recognizing that Rafael Nadal defeated him at Wimbledon. RIDICULOUS ANALOGY, WE ARE TALKING ABOUT WHAT IS BEST FOR AMERICA, AND OBAMA ISN'T IT AND THE CAUSE OF A BETTER CANDIDATE FOR AMERICA IS WORTH IRRITATING PEOPLE WHO COULD CHANGE THINGS IF THEY HAD THE WILL TO DO SO. HILLARY STILL CAN BE NOMINATED AND YOU KNOW IT.

It is time to act in a mature and resourceful fashion. It's time to put the primaries behind us. It's time to support Barack Obama without conditions or demands. IT IS MATURE PEOPLE WILLING TO FIGHT FOR PRINCIPLE AND COUNTRY OVER PARTY POLITICS THAT YOU NEED TO BE FOCUSING ON AND DOING SOMETHING ABOUT THEIR MESSAGE , NOT CRITICIZING. YOU ARE ON THE WRONG SIDE MY FRIEND.

It's time to WIN for Barack Obama, the Democratic Party, America, and our future. We have an unparalleled opportunity. WE HAVE AN UNPARALLELED OPPORTUNITY TO NOMINATE THE FIRST WOMAN IN HISTORY, TO MAKE HISTORY WITH A CANDIDATE WHO RECEIVED 18 MILLION VOTES MORE VOTES THAN ANY DEMOCRATIC CANDIDATE EVER IN OUR HISTORY. YOU CAN STILL SEIZE THE MOMENT IF YOU WOULD JOIN WITH US, NOT OBAMA. I hope we will all do everything we can to seize the moment.

See you at the Inauguration.

(THIS PART IN LOWER CASE WAS MY ADDITION TO THE BOTTOM OF THEIR LETTER. (I realize you have a tough job and it is hard to do the right thing, but you know in your heart that the nomination was robbed from the stronger candidate and there will be plenty of time left for a true black leader to come along and get elected, but Obama just isn't the right fit at this point. I hate to see Democrats lose another election because of stubborness to be the first party to nominate a black american, how about the prestige of nominating the first woman, that is just as historical. Many Americans (18 million originally) chose Hillary Clinton 18,046,007 popular vote 47.9 % to Obama 17,869,542 47.4 %. Please don't say Hillary lost when there is little to back that up. Hillary was cheated, plain and simple. America knows, it the Republicans know it, and still according to a poll, Hillary is ahead of McCain and she has been out of the picture awhile. My goodness people, what is it going to take for DNC to see the light??????

It isn't about issues, it isn't about race, it isn't about being a poor loser, it is about FAIRNESS to a deserving candidate who WON the popular vote. Our 18 million votes are non-negotiable. Shame on you for allowing your organization to lower its standard democratic practices. Please be a hero and do what you can to rectify a wrong, it is not to late. Thank you for your time. God Bless!)

Sincerely,FAMILY IN Kansas Democratic voters since 1960's. A message from the heart
