[Governor Dean] put to rest the rumor perpetuated by an ad campaign, that Hillary Clinton would not be on the ballot at the DNCC in Denver. Clinton will be on the ballot and will speak at the convention--the DNC rules are clear on this. In relation to this, he talked about the importance of fighting back against these rumors, of answering the inflammatory e-mails with the truth.--

Inflammatory comments that weren't true? If so, what took Dean so long to reply? It took hundreds of letters and calls to get a response from him. Kudos to fellow Hillary supporters. I count this as a win!
And if they weren't true, then why is Obama setting up the stadium for HIS acceptance speech?
Perhaps Obama has proved to Howard Dean and Nancy Pelosi that he is not exactly puppet material.
Being on the ballot may be mere window dressing. As has been so eloquently pointed out by Heidi and Marc of The Denver Group, what counts is having your name placed in nomination, and whether that's going to happen remains completely and totally unknown.
Don't mean to burst anyone's bubble, but having the DNC say her name will be on the ballot is something I consider to be nothing more than appeasement at this point.

Donna Brazile,is a black woman that in the beginning of the campaign was pretty much in SEN.CLINTONS corner. But this of course was before it became politically correct for the white's to show they aren't prejudiced by voting for a black man.When it became apparent Obama could get some white votes Donna Brazile and the rest of the black world that supported SEN.CLINTON looked for every excuse they could think of so as to change their minds and support to Obama.So can you guess what became the most used excuse?.Well if you can't let me tell you.It was and is the race card,every word spoken by President Clinton,or Sen.Clinton was jumped on for some kind of racist remark.Not only by the black pundents,and commentators.But the white pundents,commentators,and so called news media jumped in on Bill and Hillary just to prove they are'nt prejudiced,against a black man.Sen.Clinton did'nt stand a chance after that.So now that Obama's true two faced self is showing at lastsome of the people that supported him are in a panic to get HILLARY to pull off some sort of miracle,and become the nominee.Well folks it could happen if we can change Obama supporters pea brains.
At the Mayflower Hotel a few weeks ago, the duplicitous Barack Obama SAID - to our faces - that they were negotiating whether or not Hillary's name was to be on the ballot. This is not a rumor. I WAS THERE! He also said he'd filibuster a FISA vote and that he's for a woman's right to choose. You say flip. I say flop. If his lips are moving, he's working it. Nothing more. And again - why was Dean never pressured to take his name off the ballot w/ only 107 delegates in 2004? Why, Howard? Why?

To add to the posts regarding whether Clinton's name was going to be put on the ballot: After reading a piece at No Quarter a few weeks ago about this very issue which stated that her name would not be on the ballot, I decided to do my own follow up on the issue. I called the DNC headquarters on two different occasions, speaking to two different people and both times I was told quite clearly that her name would NOT be on the ballot. They said that since she had ended her campaign, they decided to withdraw her name from the ballot. When I asked if that was something the Clinton campaign directed them to do, I was told they had no idea what the campaign's intentions were in this regard and that removing her name was something they deemed appropriate (not a quote, but that was the gyst).
But remember, everyone, simply having her name on the ballot means NOTHING if her name is not placed in nomination and a legitimate roll call vote is held. So we must keep advocating for that with the DNC! (For more info on this I'd recommend people visit The Denver Group web site and also PUMApac today has an action about it.)

Donna Brazile is just as biased as Pelosi, Dean and other members of the current DNC. At the beginning of the primary (when Hillary got more supports from the super-delegate), Ms. Brazile said that she would leave the Democratic party if the super-delegates determine the outcome (I wish she left. However, she kept her mouth shut after Mr. Obama has received more super-delegates. She played the race card, but she denied it.
this was a comment on my blog when i said that Hillary would be on the ballot. Guadalupe gonzalez said "Don't be fooled anyone. This reply from Howard Dean confirming that Hillary will be on the ballot is just a head fake to mislead Hillary supporters. As noted in the PUMA newspaper ad that ran in Chicago recently, Hillary's name needs to be PLACED IN NOMINATION and there must then be an open roll call vote. Otherwise, merely putting her on the ballot will be an empty symbolic gesture."
