- The preference for Clinton is widest in handling the responsibilities of a President. Clinton is seen as doing a better job dealing with the economy by a 40 percent margin and as more effective in dealing with foreign leaders by 48 percent.
- Clinton also holds a substantial edge in character and personal issues.
- American women voters not only admire Hillary Clinton more, they also relate to her more than to Sarah Palin. While the margin is not as wide as in the presidential job responsibilities, women see Clinton’s values as closer to their own and would rather have Hillary Clinton as a friend.
- While Clinton comes out on top again in her role as a mother, this is an area where many women felt they could not or would not judge or compare these women.
- A third of the women polled say their views of Clinton have become more positive. Only a tiny minority has a more negative view than a year ago. Fifty-six percent of women said their views are unchanged.

With the Country in the shape it is in AND Obama a heart beat away from stealing, lying, and cheating his way into the White House, CAN ANYBODY tell me why anyone would WASTE time with a poll that means absolutely NOTHING??? At this point IN TIME, WE ALL need to be concentrating ALL efforts in getting through 2008! In case anyone has missed it, Obama is doing the EXACT same things to McCain that he did with Hillary. First it was the skewed polls (making everyone THINK that he was winning), Then going into the crucial states and pulling stunts like he just did in Ohio and is NOW doing in PA. And of course we cannot forget the "kitchen sink" which also had the toilet in with it being thrown at Sarah Palin. NOW, he is starting back on McCain with the Keating Five videos?? This man AND his campaign has been pure TRASH from day ONE. And the sad part is that so many plain stupid Americans are buying into it! Little children singing about him? Who are they kidding? Just Who do all these followers THINK he is going to save. If you watche Hannity's America on Sunday night it just gets scarier, the ties Obama has had to terrorist's for MANY years and the fact that questionable people actually PAID his way through college! What it makes me think of is when Kruschev stood at the podium and said "I will destroy your grandchildren without firing one bullet." And of course he meant that he will infiltrate and watch us destroy ourselves. While watching Hannity another really unbelievable report was that there are so many KNOWN anti-American, terrorist connected people TEACHING in our UNIVERSITIES across this Country, one of which of COURSE connected to BARRY OBAMA. Doesn't COMMON SENSE say that these people would have been checked out and NEVER hired into positions that INFLUENCE our CHILDREN??? What has happened to common sense? 2 things I love about this poll - The first is that it shows that most women will not be fooled (go Hillary!) and the second is how many refused to answer questions about which woman "was a better mother." Because until we're asking about the parental skills of male politicians, it's a sexist question.

I put beth and pam in the same group. Please do not compare Hillary with Obama. Apparently you were an Obama supporter in the primary. The first shot was fired by Obama with the race issue as tho we were too stupid to see with our eyes. He had to make it a campaign foible to enhance his underdog status. Hillary knows he is not presidential material but continues to be loyal to the party. Her position requires that action. I understand that an effective soldier is not a dead soldier but my position requires that because of the degrading of the democratic party by the self-serving party leaders, who need to be shown that they are serving at the will of the people, I will do all I can to assist McCain/Palin to win this election.

First of all, I not only voted for Hillary, I donated to her campaign. And I didn't compare Hillary and Obama - I compared their postitions.
Because knee-jerk responses aside, their POSITIONS are very similar. So if I can't vote for Hillary, I can at least vote for someone with the same values.
Whereas voting McCain undermines pretty much everything Hillary stood for and ran on.

I can tell you have done your research. Anyone involved with this campaign, especially as a Hillary delegate, knows exactly what you are talking about.
Everyone needs to think why they did not vote for Obama in the first place and why they voted for Hillary. Those are still reasons not to vote for him. He has not changed. Matter of fact, things have gotten more exposed about him and the media keeps protecting him.
You should wonder why and why the DNC forced his nomination upon us and are now forcing his Presidency on us. Check his web site. They show people how to vote in the polls and affect them by voting several times for Obama. It goes on and on and he needs to be stopped.
Just take a moment and check into the two candidates voting records and their circle of friends. Then make your decision. I bet McCain comes out ahead.
As far as Palin, you should respect what she has accomplished in her life. More than me. I stopped at the PTA and just local campaigns. She went on and made a difference with 5 children. By the way, her husband built their house, they ran a small fishing business (not easy), besides mayor, she headed the energy commission for Alaska and then voted as the governor--matter of fact, one of the most popular governors in the US. Her children go to public school (not Obama).
By the way,Bill Clinton was a governor of a small state before he became President and no one says he is inexperienced. Least she has held an executive position and that is more than Obama has done. Please think person and not the party. Don't drink the Kool-aid. Remember the quote from Susan B. Anthony--don't support a party that does not support you.
Plus remember, Obama is not giving Hillary any credit for the part of the platform that was hers that he is using now. Think also while he was in Hawaii vacationing, he had Hillary running all over the country campaigning and making her think she was going to be VP.
He made a mistake not making her VP and we should him and the DNC the message that we don't support those kind of tactics and we don't support them.

Possibly because a) Arkansas has about 5 times the population (hell, the Little Rock Metro area has as many people as the entire state of Alaska) and b) Bill was governor for 10 YEARS before he ran for President.
Give Palin the credit she's due for what she's accomplished so far, but she's still not nearly big enough for Hillary's shoes.
