Get over yourselves, crybabies.
Obama will be OUR President. He had Hillary's support. He had the support of MILLIONS of WOMEN who knew he would be there for THEM.
If you can't see past your hatred or sexism or bigotry, then you are in the minority.

It's about our country. It's about women.
GET OVER YOURSELVES and YOUR ANGER. I'm a woman. I voted for Obama and I am thrilled he will be OUR next president.

GROW UP, GALS!

Hey anonymous, nice name. It doesn't surprise me you won't post your name ..... although, it's obvious who you are.

Only an Obama supporter would call people names (i.e ... crybaby, hateful, sexists.... etc.). I am a Democrat.... and I have to say, I am as ashamed of the Obama supporters and their horrible bashing of others who don't agree with their choice (almost as much as BO's history and unexplained discrepancies).

Obama is our President and we will follow him with prayer and grace. I pray that recognizes how many people are looking to him to make a difference in their lives. I pray he has a conscience and he follows a path of good for all of the people he is paid to protect. I pray he understands that the past does not have to guide his future and he has a choice in which direction to go..... after all, this is the land of opportunity..... and this IS HIS OPPORTUNITY!

I pray people understand that, this is "One Nation" under God..... and they choose to act like it.

Is it too soon to say Hillary '12? Although I was a good PUMA and did not support the democratic nominee(I did not support the republican nominee either), I am happy at how things turned out. Now it's time for women to come together and win our next challenge: Electing a female president! Hillary was qualified and was not selected to be the nominee, because of course its bro's b4 hoes. I hope(stealing lines from Mr. Obama) she will have the courage to run in the next 4 years.

I hope all of the Hillary supporters realize that our Hillary can't run as a democrat in 2012. I know it is a long shot, but I for one, would love for her to run as a independent in 2012.
If for some reason BO, dosen't live up to his promises, I sure don't want to see Palin run against BO in 2012....

If Obama's first term is a trainwreck, she might have a shot running against him as a Dem.

Running as an independent would get her nowhere fast, and would do major damage to her career in the Senate (and yes, I'd rather have her in the White House, but as Senator she can have a major impact and wield a lot of power - just ask Ted Kennedy)

But her best chance regardless is to wait until 2016.

As for Palin, fair or not, a lot of people see her selection as VP as having done a lot of damage to the McCain campaign. She might appeal to the GOP base, but she turned OFF most independents and many moderate Republicans.

So I doubt she runs against Obama in 2012 - she may TRY, but I don't think she'd get far even in the primaries.

Won't soon forget all those hopes that Nixon would be a good president, that Bush I&II would be good presidents, that Reagan would be a good president, and yet again now, that Obama will be a good president. Why does this seem & feel so bad?

Anonymous said...

Anonymous - Why are you happy about the way things turned out if you are a good"PUMA"? I'm not sure I understand. I think the chances that Hillary will ever be our president are now very remote on the democratic ticket. If Obama totally makes a mess of things, it is more likely a Republican will be elected next time. And he would have to screw up really badly to not be the democratic nominee again in four years - the party usually supports the incumbent. I don't see a path to President for Hillary through the democratic party. Her only hope in 2012 is to run as an independent candidate (which I know is a long shot) - otherwise she has to set her sites on 2016 and she'll be close to 70 by then - a lot could change between now and then.

And to the "other anonymous" - Obama supporter anonymous, get over yourself! We are really tired of being called names and reading your hateful e-mails just because we support a different candidate than you. We don't deserve this kind of treatment and Obama's supporters (like you) certainly haven't helped his cause to get Hillary supporters to vote for him or support him now that he is president-elect.

I'm feeling sad and empty too and we deserve some time to feel sad without being called names

The reason I post as anonymous is because I have not found how to post otherwise, but I am Lee from Sarasota. Those persons who say we hate, are sexists, or bigots for not accepting the president-elect are still using those arguments because they have no real defense of this so-called historic election. Many are posting that we should respect the office if not the man and unite. I say that is bull since I was in the Air Force and that was their cop out. I see this president as illegimate since he was selected by the democratic leaders not elected by the people. Money bought this election with the backing of the MSM. So to those, especially blacks, who say this proves anything can be accomplished by anyone in America--Yes, as long as you have the money. The most qualified candidate in this election period, the person who has worked all her life for her country, did not prevail possibly because the position was purchased by the one with the most money. You cannot tell me that the super delegates were not bought off. The persons who were supposed to represent the will of their voters voted against them. I survived almost eight years without a president and I will survive 4 more. I will work just as hard during the next 4 years and those who think that Obama will remain in office in 2012 will not be working with me to see that the next presidential term is legitimate. I still own my own vote and this is not my president.

To Lee in Sarasota, I could not agree more. Dean/Pelosi/Kennedy used the black community with a black candidate and promises of THE ONE coming to give them everything, which of course he cannot and they all know that and they used Oprah/and Hollywoods money to do it...how stupid are all of them. No one considers this an honest legitimate election, the Media and the DNC under DEAN/Pelosi/Brazile/Kennedy and the other good old boys all treated McCain and Gov.Palin as badly as they treated Senator Clinton and money and thugs at the polls took this election. the only way a person like Obama with such a questionable backgorund and associates could win the Presidency and yet he could not be accepted into the FBI because he would not pass the security clearance. Better count on someone else, Senator Clinton's is finished as far a becoming the first female President..Obama is Oprah's President and for now the poor black community until they don't get bigger checks as he spreads the wealth..

Having seen the You tube of famous quotes in speeches, being reused in Obama's speeches coming out of his own mouth and seeing the orginators and the words first coming from their mouths makes me wonder if Obama's eloquence is a clone of others and is being run like a robot by his creators.

We will see, won't we.
As a Hillary supporter, I was disappointed with her assistance to Obama's win, I am disappointed in the Puma's who fell in line, didn't vote at all or tried to write in (all worthless and only gave Obama another vote. Had they united, Puma's would have made a bigger difference. Their choice and now they have to live with it.
God help us thru this next 4 yrs.

As the office calls for respect, the office shall have it. Obama must earn it for himself. I do not believe any part of this election, from the caucauses to election day, was in control of the people. It was decided long before the first state voted. In any case it is what it is. I do not trust Obama, and will not pretend to. I will however give him a clean slate in which he claims to be...and judge him from there. I pray he proves to those of us who don't believe him wrong! That is the only way America wins.

According to CNN, Obama received more popular votes than any US presidential candidate. As in ever. As in in history.

The man is obviously elected, not selected.

I think that is a very good point

FYI and to educate the idiots that buy the CNN spin:

Ronald Reagan - 54,455,472 pop. vote (24 years ago -- American population has grown quite a bit since the)

58.8% of the vote ( the highest in history even to this day November 6,2008)

525 electoral votes ( again the highest in history even to this day)

Compared to

Barack NObama - 64,151,207 ( a difference of aprox 9.7 million however the US population in 1984 was 235,824,902 compared to today's US population of 305,591,489 a difference of 70 million additional people.

BO ( body odor) gets 53% of the vote ( less than Reagan's almost 60%)

BO (body odor) get's 349 electoral votes...NOWHERE NEAR Reagan's 525 EV's. So you see IDIOT? Body Odor doesn't get to win the highest electoral per capita! It really doesn't matter though because most of BO's votes were a vote against Republicans for the economic crisis. And without a doubt BO will do nothing to change things for the better for America and the repubs will be back in control in 2012.

Batgirl (the one showing zero maturity):

I'd say Obama has a far better grasp of how to manage economics seeing as how he has finished his campaign with funds to spare as opposed to Clinton who's campaign, last I heard, was still millions in debt.

Obviously, we've got the more intelligent, more capable of the two.

beth said...

batgirl - had you bothered to read, you'd note that the CNN blog referenced does acknowledge that there are more eligible voters.

NOne the less, President Elect Obama DID likely receive more votes than any other President in history, and most certainly won far more votes than his opponent.

Please grow up, you do Hillary no credit by acting like this.

If Hillary Clinton cannot be president because the DNC CHOSE Barack over her, and Sarah Palin is not qualified to be a "heart beat" away from the presidency, eventhough she has more executive experience than Barack, what woman will ever be allowed to be President?

Anonymous said...

LOL just because you are good and "BEGGING" for money doesn't mean you know how to handle a REAL economic crisis. Hillary went into debt because she was up against obama's money beggers, like Oprah & hollywood elites and Dean at the DNC and Nancy Pelosi along with MSM. She had to run the campign longer than had expected because obama, Dean & Pelosi were not going to count her votes from two very important states. But hey don't listen to me ( not that expect you to or care if you do) you will discover soon enough how you wasted your vote!!

LOL at these people who believe that obama received the most popular votes in American History as really making a statement!!! It is only because the pop. of the USA is greater now. By the same account McCain received the 2nd most popular vote in American history. It really isn't a fair comparison. To get an accurate index on it, you have to look at the percentage of the votes. It always amazes me how many naive Americans there are. This is supposed to be the best country in the world with the brightest people, then we have to wade through all this CNN spin!
As far as obama being my president? NOT!!! I didn't support Bush for 8 years and I won't support obama for his 4. The sad thing is here he will go down being the worst president or he will tie with Bush for that title and THEN the Republicans will come back full force for possibly another 8 maybe even 12 years of republican rule. obama is a novice and Russia ( already started ) will prove that!

Hillary should have ran as an independent this year!!! not in 2012. If there was a chance for her to go that route it was this year. It was pretty obvious many independents didn't want to vote for obama, but they probably voted for him as an anti vote for the Repubs. It should have been this year for an Independent run. But she didn't. She had every right to, because the DNC, Nancy Pelosi, MSNBC, CNN, NBC, CBS & Oprah Winfrey black caucus shoved her out of winning the Democratic primary by playing backroom political tricks. This truly is a sad day in this country.

beth said...

"It was pretty obvious many independents didn't want to vote for obama,"

As evidenced by what? The huge numbers of independendts (and moderate republicans) that DID vote for him?

Look, I would have been MUCH happier if Hillary had won the nomination. But she didn't. At least with Obama in the White House, though, the issues and programs she (and I) care about have a better chance of advancing than they ever would have under McCain. Hello, remember healthcare? SCHiP? Education? For THAT I am grateful.

Please, some of you act as if you WANT the next four years to be a trainwreck so Hill can have a better chance at running again. Jeeze, talk about putting narrow self-interest before country.

Anyone else find it interesting how many former Clintonistas have been either already named as members of Obama's transition team and administration, or are being speculated about for the same?

SuzieQ said...

I couldn't of said it better. I too am a PUMA. I know in my heart that Hillary should of been our nominee. I just hope she will still have enough fight in her in 2016.. I will work as hard as I can to make sure she is our president.

"body odor"...oh yeah, that's real mature.
Get over it. Obama is OUR President and Hillary was AWESOME in her support of him!
And to those who were disappointed or disillusioned with Hillary because she CHOSE to support Obama....learn a little lesson in graciousness. I was proud of OUR GAL and I'm proud of PRESIDENT OBAMA!
