US Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton presents the Obama Administrations Diplomatic Blueprint on Nonproliferation in a speech to the United States Institute of Peace, at the Renaissance Mayflower Hotel in Washington, D.C. Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton delivered a Major Nonproliferation Policy address to the United States Institute of Peace (USIP) that included language covering confronting Proliferators; insuring that all nations abide by the rights and obligation of the Nonproliferation Regime; intent for negotiating a new treaty with Russia to reduce the US nuclear arsenal; and undertaking a review of the role of nuclear weapons in the United States defense strategy. A U.S.-led Diplomatic Campaign coincides with USIPs 25th anniversary.
