I just viewed the glorious video of Hillary accepting the Global Trailblazer's award!
I just read POLITICO's story on this by Patrick Gavin and, apparently, to no surprise to us at least, she received a much lengthier applause (over 3 min) than evern the celebrities who were present, including Ben Affleck!
HIllary is a real trailblazer and for those of us who watched her closely since her 1995 Beijing fearless speech proclaiming "Women's rights are Human rights!" it is no surprise that she be awarded this prize. The respect she's earned from women all across this world of ourse is all too obvious. This woman's a dynamo and we are only saddened that the presidential nomination was stolen from those who feared her independence and agenda for the improvement of women's and girls' lives. It says a lot for the state of the world we live in. But the 18 million cracks on the ceiling will one day open up the sky for girls everywhere. And Hillary will be an icon of the human rights of women everywhere.
Thank you, Hillary Grassroots. You've been there for those of us who truly believe in equality and justice since Day One!
